Robert Downey Jr., after winning our hearts through his famous role of Iron Man in Marvel's Infinity War, will be seen as the famous detective along with Jude Law as his loyal friend and counterpart Watson.

#3. Moriarty Might Not Be There In The Sequel

Although Downey Jr. and Jude's presence in the sequel has been confirmed, the villain Moriarty might not be there to entertain us in the third part of the Sherlock Holmes. "I think the last iteration when they last wrote a screenplay for Sherlock Holmes 3, Moriarty wasn't in it. So, I'm not focusing on it," Jared Harris told Digital Spy.

The director for the second sequel has not been announced yet, however, the third installment will be produced by Susan Downey, Joel Silver, and Lionel Wigram with Beverly Hills 90210's story editor, Chris Brancato affirmed as the scriptwriter.

It has been revealed that Warner Bros. was unable to release the second sequel due to Marvel's continued releases but the studio cannot be relieved as the competition has not faded. Reportedly, the release of Avatar 2 will take place one week before the Christmas 2020.
