This is the horrendous moment a giant cyst growing out of the side of a woman's head is cut off and dissected by a surgeon.

The growth - about the size of a golf ball - is believed to have been growing under the hair of an unnamed woman for around a decade.

The mass - which was cut out after an operation at a hospital - was then examined by a doctor to discover what it contained.

And the results were far from pretty.

In the footage - posted under the banner 'Abscess Cyst Pimple Acne Surgery' - the black-red sack is squeezed to reveal all kinds of dark blood and ooze that are not for the feint-hearted.

The doctor enthusiastically explains as he prods it with some long-handled scissors: "This is the large cyst on the scalp of a young lady. You can see black coloured fluid inside.

"I am going to rupture the cyst to see what is inside.

"Watch black turbid liquid coming out from the cyst. Watch necrotic fluid material (coming out) but no hair as expected."

He goes on to explain that the liquid oozing out of the cyst is degredated. A histopathology report suggests it's a "Sebaceous cyst scalp" he says.

Later on he squeezes it hard to see what comes out - and it takes a few minutes to finally see what emerges.
