#1 Soapy bubble: Richie Gilbert takes the snake out of the family's laundry room
This snake wrangler proved he's a real charmer during a run-in with one of nature's scariest snakes.
Australian Richie Gilbert has saved many a frightened family from encounters with snakes but this particular run-in offered more than he bargained for.
Gilbert, who has just filmed a TV show in the UK, posted this video to his Facebook page and this very hungry python was in no mood for playing around.
The video starts with Richie giving instructions on how not to approach an invading python before he descends into laughter as he realises the reptile is hungry and is likely to bite.
Those with ophiophobia may not want to look at this video but for those who can stomach the idea of grappling with a large nonvenomous reptile it might just bring some amusement.
#2 Striking distance: Richie Gilbert attempts to capture a python in "food mode"
"You will see one of the reasons I always try to avoid grabbing a python by the head.
"I would have done this relocation very differently if I wasn't almost asleep standing up but at least it will provide you with some light entertainment and you might even learn something."
After a few minutes of struggling with the slippery serpent which tied itself tightly around his arm, Richie managed to rescue the snake from the laundry room and put it back into the wild.

#3 Anyway the snake was in what I call "food mode".
You will see what that means in the video.
