'Slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown'

Snapchat in under fire again after a recent poll that seemingly promotes domestic violence which asked users if they would 'rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown.'

Rehana wrote on her Instagram story in response to the snapchat controversial advertisement.

"Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain't my fav app out there! But I'm just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess!"

"I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb."

"This isn’t about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them… but all the women, children and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven’t made it out yet.

You let us down! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-ology away."

'Reviewed and approved in error'

Snapchat apologized and deleted the advertisement and said: "the advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines."

'We made the terrible mistake'

Snap told Bloomberg. "It never should have appeared on our service," We are so sorry we made the terrible mistake of allowing it through our review process. We are investigating how that happened so that we can make sure it never happens again."

Snapchat advertisement policy stated in on its website confirming:

"We want Snapchatters to have fun and to be safe, and those goals drive our Advertising Policies. Advertisers must be honest about the products or services their ads promote; they must avoid content that misleads or offends, and they must never compromise our users' privacy. These Advertising Policies apply to all ads on Snapchat and any other Snap products or services."

"All ads are subject to our review and approval. We reserve the right to reject or remove any ad in our sole discretion for any reason. We also reserve the right to request modifications to any ad, and to require factual substantiation for any claim made in an ad."

Looses $800 million

About $800 million snapchat value was lost after Rehana post many fans also deleted snapchat that decreased the app value. According to Bloomberg, the price of shares in the app’s parent company went down 4.5 percent.
