The Internet is confused over Heard's interview statement that the actor convinced the world that he had scissors for fingers. Taking to the social media, people asked the Aquaman actress what specifically she meant by this and how on Earth does she even think this is possible?
Social Media Baffled After Heard States Johnny Depp 'Convinced The World He Had Scissors For Fingers'
Amber Heard has given her first interview after the defamation trial loss against her ex-husband Johnny Depp and has left the public scratching their heads with confusion after the Aquaman actress says that Depp "convinced the world he had scissors for fingers".
The 36-year-old star gave her interview to NBC News' Savannah Guthrie about the A-List trial and the verdict - which ruled in favor of Depp.
The 6-week long trial was between Depp and Heard after Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife over her 2018 op-ed in which she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence.
On Wednesday, June 1, the seven jurors shared their verdict and found that Heard had defamed Depp on all three counts. They awarded her former husband - who she accused of physical and sexual abuse - over $10 million in damages.
The NBC host emphasized how Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez described Heard's testimony in the trial as "the performance of a lifetime". To which Heard replied: "Says the lawyer for the man who convinced the world he had scissors for fingers? I'm the performer?"
"I had listened to weeks of testimony insinuating that or saying quite directly that I'm a terrible actress. So I'm a bit confused how I could be both," Heard added.
After these comments made it to the internet, people couldn't help but draw comparisons to the actress's statement and question what Heard really meant by this bizarre statement.
One user joked: "Wait... did Amber think Depp had scissors for fingers? I think most people knew that was a movie, right?"
Another commented: "Hey, @realamberheard I don’t think #johnnydepp convinced anyone, let alone the world, of having scissors for fingers."
A third poked fun at Heard's statement by saying: "Johnny Depp also owns a chocolate factory and robbed a bunch of banks and heck he does own a barbershop."
A fourth user quipped: "Willy Wonka doesn’t matter to you?"

In another part of the interview, Heard mentioned other characters Depp has played and said to Guthrie she was in a courtroom "packed full of Captain Jack Sparrow fans".
The interviewer asked her how that felt, and Heard responded by saying: "It was the most humiliating and horrible thing I’ve ever been through. I have never felt more removed from my own humanity," She went on to say that she felt "less than human".
The Aquaman actress shared in her interview that Depp's lawyers did a "better job of distracting the jury from the real issues" throughout the defamation trial.
More of Heard's interview will be released on Friday (June 17) on Dateline NBC.
