Someone Ripped Out This Slow Loris' Teeth To Make It Cuter For Selfies
#1 Just when you thought humanity couldn't get any more destructive, they find a way to surprise you.
Remember the time a bunch of idiots killed a dolphin after pulling it out of the water for selfies? Or stood on top of a turtle for the very same reason? Oh, and don't forget the seal pup that had to be euthanized after someone took it home from the beach.
#2 The Wildlife Friends Foundation (WFFT) of Koh Samui, Thailand,
is asking tourists not to pay for selfies with captive slow lorises after one was found with all it's teeth ripped out. The loris, named Boris by his rescuers, was found abandoned by a member of the public on Chaweng Beach.
#3 According to the foundation, this isn't an isolated case.
Slow lorises often have their teeth removed so that they don't bite tourists who want to pay for selfies with the animals.

#5 The WFFT also said that Boris had a broken wrist and was covered in ticks.
#6 Slow lorises are often taken from their mothers at a young age so that they can become picture props for tourists:
"Particularly with those that are used illegally as photo prop animals, to prevent them from causing injuries to the people that pay money to get that all-so-great selfie with a wild animal in a far away, exotic place," a spokesman for the Wildlife Friends Foundation said.
#7 Boris won't be able to return to the wild because of his injuries. But the WFFT said that they're working on finding him a permanent home:
He will be able to climb in the trees, receive proper diet, mix with his own species, and never be handled by a tourist or a tourist tout ever again."
"He now has some peace."
I hate people.
