Viewers were left stunned this week after watching the new Netflix documentary, Mr. McMahon, which revealed a shocking storyline pitch by former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon in which he would have impregnated his own daughter.

The documentary, which covers his life and career, dives into many controversies surrounding the man who helped build WWE into what it is today.

One of the most surprising moments involves his own daughter, Stephanie McMahon.

Stephanie, much like her father, had been an on-screen presence in WWE for years, often playing a role on the side of WWE’s authoritarian figures.

But things took an unusual turn when she became pregnant. Vince wanted to turn her pregnancy into a storyline.

In the Netflix documentary, Vince himself admitted, "One of my storyline ideas was that Stephanie gets pregnant.

"I think…I was the one who impregnated her. My character. I think it was something like that. It was like, 'No.' That one didn't make it."

This was the first time Vince had publicly spoken about the idea, but Stephanie had previously mentioned it in another documentary.

Recalling the bizarre proposal, Stephanie explained, "My dad did approach me about wanting to be the father of my baby in the storyline for TV, which was actually only the second time I've said 'no' to him for something he wanted to do.

"That one was just a little too gross, actually. It was completely disgusting, and I don't find the entertainment value in it at all. And he's actually my father, so how could I even play that out? I can't fake kiss my dad like we were in love or something. It's just revolting all the way around."

Despite her refusal, Vince didn’t give up easily. According to Stephanie, after she turned down the idea, Vince then pitched a new angle where her brother, Shane McMahon, would be the father. Stephanie recalled saying, "Then he came up with the idea of Shane to be the father of my baby—my brother.

"Again, I [just said] 'no'. I know that happens in this world, but it's not going to happen with us. I can't do that. It's too much."

Since its release, Mr. McMahon has sparked massive reactions from viewers.

It has consistently ranked in Netflix’s top five most-watched shows and is currently sitting at number three.

Another scene in the documentary that caught fans' attention gives further insight into Vince McMahon’s relationship with his children, particularly with his son, Shane McMahon.

Like Stephanie, Shane was heavily involved in WWE and became known for his high-risk stunts in the ring.

Paul Heyman, a prominent figure in WWE and the wrestling industry, described a tense moment in the documentary where Shane pitched an idea that Vince strongly opposed.

Vince reportedly responded with, "not while I'm alive," before handing Shane a knife, pointing to his own chest, and saying, "If you want it so bad, stick the dagger right here."

Before the documentary aired, Vince McMahon released a statement criticizing the series, calling it "deceptive."
