Stomach-Churning Video Shows Thorn Being Surgically Extracted From Person's Lung

This disturbing footage shows a thorn being removed from a person's lung.

The procedure is known as a bronchoscopy and it lets doctors examine inside the lung using a mini camera on the end of a tube.

First there is an agonising four minutes of probing before a small clamp grabs on to the thorn.

It is then pulled out of the lung revealing the object's true size for the first time.

The doctor who is named as Dr Oikonomou on the video then goes in for a final check to assess the damage.

The clip ends with a final gruesome sight of liquid spurting towards the camera from an unidentified hole.
