Teen Rapper Accidentally Fatally Shoots Himself While Recording A Video For Social Media

Rylo Huncho, a teenage rapper, tragically lost his life after accidentally shooting himself in the head while recording a video. 

On May 15, police confirmed the death of a 17-year-old male at his residence in Suffolk, Virginia.

They reported that the cause of death was an 'accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound' to the head.

While the police report didn't specifically mention Huncho, his family later confirmed it was him by setting up a GoFundMe page to support his mother during this difficult time.

His actual name was Raleigh, as reported by The Direct.

The GoFundMe page features a picture of Huncho and includes a heartfelt message: 

"Hello, my aunt recently lost her 17-year-old son from a self-inflicted gun wound to the head.

"He was her only son! She was a single parent but did everything she could to provide for her son."

Additionally, the page mentions that the family is still trying to understand exactly how the events unfolded leading to Huncho's untimely death.

They added: "Anything I mean anything can help her at this time of need."

It also states: "He was her only child she was also an only child it was always her and her son.

"Anything can help! Please keep my family in your prayers thank you so much."

Social media footage circulated after Huncho's passing shows him dancing and singing in his room, while holding a pistol, which he was using to film a video for his Instagram Stories.

It's believed that during his performance, Huncho accidentally turned off the gun's safety.

Tragically, he died when the gun discharged.

Earlier this year, it appears Huncho had shown the same firearm in another video he posted on TikTok.

Tributes have been pouring in for the young rapper, who had garnered 27,000 followers on Instagram and 680 monthly listeners on Spotify.

Kara Dorsey, who identified herself as a teacher at Huncho’s school, shared her sadness, stating the 'school family' had 'experienced a loss.'

"While I didn't have the opportunity to meet this young man, I did meet his older cousin and a close friend today," she said.

"I met them as they spent their lunch quietly walking the halls and asking staff members to share a GoFundMe to help the young man's mother lay her only child to rest."

To date, the GoFundMe campaign has raised over $6,000, with a target of $15,000 set.
