#1. Dustin Was Diagnosed With Synovial Sarcoma, A Rare Type Of Cancer
Dustin Snyder was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer just a day before his 18th birthday. The brave teen successfully underwent chemotherapy to get rid of his illness but what Dustin did not know was that his battle with cancer was not over. Months later, cancer showed up again in Dustin's bladder.
#2. Cancer Returned For The Third Time
Doctors were able to remove it from the young boy's body for the second time but Dustin could not get free of cancer forever. A few months later, the 19-year-old was told by the doctors that his cancer had returned. This time, Dustin's stomach and the pelvic region was badly affected and he was told that his days are numbered.
#3. Throughout His Battle With Cancer, Dustin's Girlfriend Stayed By His Side
Before losing his life to the cruel disease, Snyder decided to make his last wish. Throughout his long battle with cancer, Dustin's high school girlfriend, Sierra stayed by his side and supported her ill boyfriend in every step of his battle. The 19-year-old wished to marry his loyal girlfriend whom he had dated for two years. Sierra felt really happy to be able to grant Dustin's last wish. "That means everything to me, I’m going to be there for him no matter what and I’m really excited for this opportunity," Sierra said.
#4. Everyone Helped To Make Dustin's Last Wish Come True
"We’re going to be together no matter what, forever. In both of our hearts and everybody’s hearts," Sierra further told. Dustin's sister, Brittany Hails created a Go Fund Me page on Facebook and their community also rallied together to make Dustin's last wish come true.
#5. My Brother Will Have An Amazing Day
People's reaction was much more positive than Brittany had expected. Some gifted rings and cakes while others helped in decorations and hiring a photographer for the couple's perfect wedding. "The experience has been amazing. My brother will have an amazing day," Hails happily told.
#6. Glad We Still Have Good People In The World
Dustin's optimistic girlfriend expressed love for the entire community who came forward to make her boyfriend's day as beautiful as possible. "I'm very grateful for all they have donated. I love how the community has come together as a whole. I'm glad we still have good people in the world," Sierra said.
