#1 Mother from UK making noise after the ibuprofen prescribed to her son Lewis caused his skin so badly he contracted septicaemia.

Mother Hayley wrote: "I want to remind people that please do not give your children nurofen/ibuprofen when they suffer from chickenpox. Four local doctors prescribed it for my baby. This medicine is an anti- inflammatory; it reacts with chicken pox making them go deeper into the skin tissue. "

#2 ‘We took lewis to Alder hey because our hospital doctor sending him back home and just saying it was just chicken pox.'

He ended up with septicaemia and was admitted to Alder Hey.

‘This could have ended up so much worse if it wasn't for those doctors at septicaemia and their advice, only use calpol for their temps.'

#3 We discovered this after it happened on nurofen website that, not to take this medicine with chicken pox.

But when our doctors prescribe it, who are we to question it??

Thanks to Hayley, he recommended that ibuprofen is no longer used to treat the symptoms of chickenpox.

#4 She wrote on Facebook: "I’m so thankful to everyone for sharing the post so that something will now be done about it."

These medical professionals are now going to ensure that all doctors know the risks and hopefully they'll no longer prescribe it. I will not stop raising awareness until these types of medicines are labelled with the risks of this being prescribed to someone with Chickenpox.
