1. The Chase

We dream about being chased when we are experiencing difficult situations in our lives that could be potentially dangerous. Not so much in a physical sense, but more in an emotional sense. Portraying this ‘danger’ in a physical way in your dream allows you to realise that whilst a situation may not seem emotionally dangerous at first thought, it’s worth thinking over.

If it’s a stranger that’s chasing you in your dream it could be because you require clarity, or maybe you’re hiding a secret you feel guilty about. Normally it’s a situation you’re putting off thinking about, but this should be a reminder to deal with your problems.

2. Failing A Test

We’ve all had that awful dream where we’ve been unprepared for something important, whether it be an academic test, a driving test or a sports competition. Nothing can describe the relief when you wake up and realize it’s all been a dream.

Expert dream psychologist, Craig Hamilton-Parker, says that when you dream about failing a test it can translate to feelings of low self-esteem and a lack of self-worth. If you are able to increase your confidence both in relationships and your abilities, it should help to get rid of these dreams!

3. Falling

Falling in a dream is probably the most common type of unpleasant dream. The meaning behind this dream is pretty simple, it means that you have lost control over a situation which you believe is your fault. This can be anything you feel you’ve neglected, whether it be your workload or a close relationship.

However, this dream is not always negative. If you feel peaceful whilst you are falling, it could mean that an uncontrollable change in your life is benefitting you for the better.

4. Running Late

Running late has to be one of the most stressful dreams because the dreams are often so realistic.

Dreams about running late are a common response to feeling like you have a lack of control over your life and you are being flooded with responsibilities. This could mean that you have taken on a new responsibility or you’re just not managing your time very well.

This could mean that you have taken on a new responsibility recently or you’re just not managing your time very well.

5. Being Naked In Public

Dreaming about heading into the office in just your ‘tighty whiteys’ can be pretty disturbing (and definitely wouldn’t get you that promotion you’ve been waiting for).

The meaning behind this common dream is that you are feeling vulnerable and like you have put your defenses down. Maybe you’ve had a sudden change in your life, such as change of career, which has left you feeling not as secure as before.

However, if you dream that you are the one undressing, this could be a positive sign that you are healing and are ready to let your guard down again and let people into your life.

6. Cheating On Your Partner

Whether it’s you cheating on your partner or vice-versa these dreams are never at all pleasant. Unfortunately, we don’t know as much about these dreams as we do other types. It’s been suggested that these dreams can signify a lack of security in a relationship and can highlight concerns over loyalty.

However more than likely these dreams are as a result of our subconscious picking up on television shows, films, and general celebrity gossip.

7. Meeting A Celebrity

Again these dreams are a little more tricky to try and analyze. Whilst it’s incredibly disappointing to wake up from these dreams to find out that yes, you didn’t actually meet George Clooney, they can have positive connotations.

Dreaming about meeting your idol can show you are feeling confident in yourself and are excited about your future prospects, whether this is a new job, house, or relationship. They signify that you are feeling content with yourself and are willing to put yourself out there.

8. Teeth Falling Out

Probably the worst dream we can have, dreaming that your teeth are falling out shows that you are feeling insecure and have low confidence. The dream particularly relates to how you feel about yourself visually and how you are feeling about your body image.

In order to banish this nightmarish horror try to work on focussing on other qualities rather than appearance, learn to love yourself for who you are inside and not how you look on the exterior.
