This Oregon couple went out on a date night and left their 1-year old in the hands of a babysitter they thought wasn't a psychopath, they came home to find their 1-year-old-son, Jacob, crying in his crib with the sitter asleep in the couch. When they woke up in the morning, they saw that Jacob's face was covered in bruises.

Now here's where it gets rage-inducing, even though multiple doctors confirmed that these were indeed hand prints on Jacob's face, and a detective confirmed that these blows could have killed their son, and the sitter admitted to abusing Jacob, they can't be prosecuted because Jacob can't verbalize that he was abused.
