#1 The Sedlec Ossuary in Kutna Hora

Czechs love being morbid and the Catholic Church is known for doing some weird stuff, also. So what are they to do when the masses demand to rest peacefully on the holy grounds of one small church? Start decorating of course!

#2 Here's another look inside the Chapel.

As many as 40,000 70,000 people have been turned into some pretty awesome, macabre decorations for the chapel. I wonder who came up with this idea?

#3 Kuku-Kuku tribe in Papua New Guinea

Yum! Smell that BBQ? Oh, wait... that's Grandpa. The Kuku-Kuku tribe in Papua New Guinea smoke their deceased and put them up in smoke cages for all to see. Rather interesting place to visit.

#4 Cenote Segrado, Mexico

Beautiful sparkling blue waters... and the skeletons of Mayan sacrifices. Sounds relaxing, right? The Mayans thought that killing someone and throwing their body into the pool would appease the rain god Chaak and bring good harvest for the year. Apparently it just leaves a mass of bones and skeletons for you to trip over.

#5 The Masked Monkey Village of Jakarta

In a district in East Jakarta, there is a slum by the name of South Cipinang Besar also known as Monkey Village. They train their monkey's through horrific means, causing screeches of pain to resonate through the village so that they can approach people while dressed in masks and imitating children. Sometimes they perform tricks or simply hold out their hands to beg for change.

#6 La Verbena Cemetery in Guatemala City.

Death in Mexico isn't the same in the states. People regularly visit their loved one's graves and they have a massive holiday devoted to it also. This leads to rather busy cemeteries. You can see people dancing, joking, crying, even vendors selling, but that's not the strange part. The graves here are like apartment buildings due to the large population and like apartments, they're rented out. If you can't pay you also get evicted. While in this cemetery you're likely to see some of the mounds of the evicted "residences" laying around while waiting to be moved to their new mass grave.
