We'll always have a soft spot for Amanda Bynes because she made us laugh.

Like, she has a gift.

I remember thinking that the she was one of the funniest people on All That on Nickelodeon and thinking that she should get her own show. And it wasn't long until she did!

She starred in some of the funniest movies but since then she's been more in the headlines for her behavior rather than her amazing work. And I thought we should take a look back at her style over the years.

1. Pre-1996

She started out doing commercials for Buncha Crunch candies and even some theater productions of Annie, The Secret Garden, The Music Man, and The Sound of Music.

2. 1996

"When I was 7, I started taking a comedy class for kids at the Comedy Store in Hollywood," she said. It was two years into going to classes there and the Laugh Factory that she was discovered. In 1996, Bynes started acting on Nickelodeon's sketch comedy series All That.

3. 1998

The Amanda Show came out because she was SLAYING it and was the breakout star of the last show. The next year, Bynes won the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress. Then she did that again... three years in a row.

4. 2001

The teen star was hitting up a Seventeen magazine party with her jeans and a crop top. She was riding high off her award.

5. 2002

She made her theatrical debut in Big Fat Liar with Frankie Muniz. She helped bring in $48 million with that flick!

6. 2003

Amanda was working the TV circuit again when she was on The WB's What I Like About You. She said that role "helped me get back to where I was."

7. 2004

Fast-forward to when she won six Nickeloden Kids' Choice Awards and she was posing with another teen star, Lindsay Lohan.

She starred with then, low-key star Channing Tatum on She's The Man which was a modern take on Shakespeare's play.

Amanda Bynes played Penny Lou Pingleton in movie-musical Hairspray which saw her starring with Queen Latifah, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer.

10. 2009

She started hooking up with The Hills reality star Doug Reinhardt but then broke up soon after she felt that he was exploiting her celebrity status. But he fired back and said Bynes "wouldn't even let me have a guys' night out without flipping out on me."

So Amanda Bynes was looking vastly different in Easy A when she starred alongside Emma Stone.

12. 2012

Just a couple days after her birthday, she drove into a police car and was arrested under the influence. Three months later she was charged with two counts of hit-and-run incidents.

13. 2013

She was in the center of a public meltdown and allegedly threw a bong out of a New York building. She was charged at Midtown Precinct North station for marijuana possession, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence.

14. 2014

It was soon after her arrest that she started walking around with colored wigs and it was soon after this photo was taken that she was institutionalized for setting a stranger's driveway on fire. She also started living with her parents.

Lately, she's been seen to be enjoying some pampering and rocking some Lady Gaga shades.
