#1 If I was Carly Walling, I would stay the hell away from Dylan Buckley at prom.
Over the past few years, it became uncool to just go up to a lady you're involved or you want to go out with, hand her some flowers and request she joins you to whatever themed party your school is throwing like a gentleman, as internet has taken over our lives and even our relationships.
#3 On Thursday, March 24th, Carly was pulling into the driveway of her home in Tracy, California.
Carly saw Dylan standing there with a poster that said, "Carly, I need someone special to keep me afloat for our dance on the boat. Prom with me?"
Carly is a lifeguard and their prom is taking place in the Hornblower ship in San Francisco on April 23rd, so his promposal pun was just perfect. So was the basket that accompanied it, which included a framed picture of the couple, ghirardelli sea salt caramel chocolates, pink daisies and salt water taffy.
As sweet as a sea-themed prom proposal in a garage sounds, that's where the romantic event ended.

After a basketball game following the promposal, Carly started to feel itchy all over , and by the time she was brought home, a giant red rash broke out over her collarbone and neck that slowly started to turn into white hives. Once her throat started to close up and it became hard for her to breath, she understood it was an allergic reaction, so Dylan and her parents rushed her to the emergency room.
#2 Carly’s condition was kind of severe when she got to the ER.
Carly cried,"The nurses were giving me worried looks from the moment I walked in. I guess by that time the reaction had reached my face and my eyes were swollen shut."
Once Carly got admitted to a room, the doctors said that while they couldn't exactly find out the source of the reaction, but most likely it was the taffy since that was all she had to eat that day other than a protein bar and turkey sandwich and she is allergic to a few types of colored food dyes.
Thankfully, everything got taken care of, and after five hours, Carly was released from the hospital
Even though this might have been a terrible experience for her but she realized something that was far more beautiful ans she wouldn't have felt this way if this wouldn't have happened.
"Dylan stayed at the hospital waiting for me the whole time and even went and got my mom a coffee," she said. "When he came in the room he sat on my bed and my mom took a picture of us and I joked that I would have to get a turtleneck dress for our prom."
"Basically what I learned from this is to slow down and think about what you are doing no matter how excited you are," she added. "Also that having a boyfriend or someone in your life that is always there for you makes the tough situations a lot easier."
