#1 Marcus Peers, who had cancer, and Ashlee got married beside his hospital bed just days before he died.
#2 Marcus got his diagnosis back in April of this year. Doctors told him that he'd have three years to live but after he collapsed at his home in July, they realised it was much more serious and told him he only had weeks.

#3 The couple were devastated but only had thoughts for their daughter who was yet to celebrate her first birthday. They decided to bring forward baby Faith's special day so that her dad could spend it with her before having to say goodbye.
#4 "My first thought was for Faith - she wasn’t even six months old. She needed her daddy. The pair of them were like two peas in a pod. He doted on Faith and she adored him in return. My heart broke when she uttered her first word while Marcus was in hospital: "Dada". Marcus would never [get to] walk her up the aisle or celebrate her graduation. Our family was being robbed of so many happy memories" She told.

#5 After Faith's early festivities at her father's bedside, the 24-year-old had one more dying wish - he wanted to marry the mother of his child.

#7 "Within just a week we organised a wedding and in August we tied the knot at his bedside. Marcus struggled for breath but he repeated all his vows and it was a bittersweet moment as we were pronounced man and wife. A few days later, the registrar returned for a blessing, when I wore a beautiful dress and Faith watched her mummy and daddy seal their love," she told.
