Let's be honest, you didn't have a proper '90s childhood unless you cheered Bruce Bogtrotter on while he was scoffing a chocolate cake the size of his torso in Matilda.

The film was a classic and earned the lad who played him, Jimmy Karz, a place in all of our hearts for his cake-eating victory.

It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since the movie came out and, given the way time works and all that, he looks a little bit different these days.

Now aged 31, the actor is almost unrecognisable from the 12-year-old curly haired-kid he played in the 1996 film.

He hasn't acted since he starred in ER back in 1998, but it looks like that inspired his life ambitions as he is now in medical school and pursuing his career.
