The best celebrity interviews are the ones where it gets a little bit weird. It’s a chance for us to get a better insight on the stars we love, and these are no exception. The most entertaining celebrity interviews gone bad.
The Most Awkward And Cringeworthy Celebrity Interviews
#1 Robert Downey Jr walks out of interview with U.K.'s Channel 4 News.
here's a time and a place to ask questions about personal life. While RDJ was promoting "Avengers: Age of Ultron" he was randomly asked about his "dark periods" by the U.K.'s Channel 4 News. He basically ended the interview by getting up and walking out.
He later said: "I'm one of those guys who I'm always assuming the social decorum is in play, and that we're promoting a superhero movie, a lot of kids are going to see it, and that just has nothing to do with your creepy dark agenda."
#2 Wolf Blitzer calls out Donald trump for being off the hook.
"Donald, you're beginning to sound ridiculous," Blitzer said when Mr Trump insisted that he had found evidence that President Obama was not a US citizen. Trump replied, "Let me tell you, I think you sound ridiculous." The interview went on for about 45 seconds before Trump called it over.
#3 Robert Pattinson cuts off Ryan Seacrest when asked about Kristen Stewart.
R-Patz is pretty private about his personal life, and he was noticeably taken aback when Ryan Seacrest asked him to dish on his "Twilight" co-star (and former girlfriend), Kristen Stewart. He awkwardly changes the subject, and when he gets up to leave he enthusiastically says, "the only thing I can say is watch 'New Moon' it's amazing." He left Seacrest in the lurch and he played a Taylor Swift song while he pulled it together.
#4 Justin Bieber trying to flirt with Chelsea Handler on "Chelsea Lately".
Chelsea Handler recently said that Justin Bieber was her worst interview ever because he was trying to get his flirt on with her... even when he was just a little kid with flippy hair.
"He tried to flirt with me and it was so uncomfortable," Chelsea said. (Keep in mind, it takes a lot to make Chelsea uncomfortable.) "That's his shtick. Like, he would just come on and flirt with you and you just felt like a child molester right away. And I was like, 'I don't want to feel that way.'"
#5 Jennifer Lawrence getting visibly upset when Access Hollywood spilled the beans on the Game of Thrones finale.
You can tell she was fuming but she didn't want to show her emotions on live TV for the whole world to see. Though she had already gotten a reputation with reporters earlier in the year when she was at the Golden Globes and was being interviewed.
She was called out by the Internet for being rude when she scolded a foreign reporter for being on his phone during a press conference at the Golden Globes. The reporter asked her how she "saw herself for Oscar night", and she snapped back by saying: "We're at the Golden Globes. If you put your phone down you'd know that." Oh, girl.
#6 Cara Delevingne's painfully awkward interview on "Good Day Sacramento".
Cara Delevingne's painfully awkward interview is just about as bad as it gets. Or, I'm sorry, Carla Delevingne, which is what the hosts called her. First, they asked if she got a chance to read the book "Paper Towns", to which Cara sarcastically says, "No I never read the book, or the script actually, I sorta just winged it." Then, the reporters call her out for being irritable, not excited and tell her to go take a nap and grab a Redbull. Um. Then the reporters continued to talk her down once she walked off the cameras views.
#7 Selena Gomez awkwardly cuts off interview when she doesn't know how to answer a question about Justin Bieber.
Poor Selena looks incredibly red-faced and flustered when she's asked about Justin Bieber during a live interview via skype with WGN Chicago on Hollywire. She looks over to her side, presumably to ask her publicist for help, and we hear chatter before the camera just shuts off. Yikes.
#8 Taylor Swift wasn't feeling Nancy on a red carpet interview at the Grammy's.
After a few simple questions, Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell said to Ms Swift, "You'll have lots of fun, you're gonna walk home with more than just a trophy tonight. I think lots of men..." Taylor could not have been more deadpan than she was in that moment as she just got a glazed look, as if in her mind she was saying "WTF did this bitch just say?" Instead, Taylor smiled and said, no, I stay clear of men, I'm going home to my cats. She then quickly walked off but Tweeted about it the next morning.
#9 Kanye West flips out on "Sway in the Morning Interview".
Did you guys know that Kanye is "Shakespeare in the flesh?" Well, that's what he ranted about in just another cringeworthy Kanye interview. "You ain't got the answers!" Kanye shouts over and over again when he is challenged. His angry outburst was even made into a remix. Classic Yeezy.
#10 Seinfeld tell Larry King how television works.
When the KING of interviewers Larry King asked Jerry Seinfeld what he was going to do since his hit show was cancelled, Jerry went off on the reporter, saying "Got cancelled?? There's a big difference between being cancelled and ending a show!" Larry, befuddled, just went to a commercial break.
#11 Nicki Minaj keeps it real during an interview on Power 101 in the Morning.
She was there to promote her new video, but when it became evident the two reports had never even seen the video, Nicki went on a rampage and even began texting on her phone while the show went on. "It's a four minute video and you can't even watch it before trying to ask me questions?" She has a point.
#12 Robert Blake goes a little nuts on Piers Morgan Live.
Piers asked one question. One. Robert Blake began a gibberish tale about his body being left to rot and how he was going after the police later... it was a hilarious disaster.
#13 Jesse Eisenberg's horrible attempt at flirting on "Say My Name".
OK, so Jesse Eisenberg is either trying to flirt or he's just a complete jerk. Or both. Either way, this interview is cringe-inducing. He basically challenges everything the reporter says, like when she refers to Morgan Freeman as "Freeman" he says, "Who are you? What are you on a baseball team with him?" It gets worse when the interviewer says she's going to cry, to which he says, "Don't cry now, wait until after the interview is over because otherwise I'll look like I'm responsible for it."
#14 Amy Schumer not loving the reporters' comments while promoting "Trainwreck" on KIIS 101.1
The comedian's interview on Melbourne's KIIS 101.1 turned sour very fast after the reporters implied that Amy's character was "skanky."
"Do you have the word 'skanky' in America?" one of the reporters asked during the interview.
"We do have that word," Amy responded. "What made you think about your mom? Why did she just pop in your mind?"
BURN.
#15 Taylor Swift may or may not have farted during the premiere of her "Wildest Dreams" music video.
The Internet was taken by storm when Tay announced the premiere of her "Wildest Dreams" music video accompanied by a suspicious noise that sounded a lot like a fart. It didn't really help that she awkwardly opened her mouth and crouched down, either. It was the great debate of the Internet over whether or not T-Swizzle blew one on the air while surrounded by her gorgeous squad.
