Durex have unveiled their aubergine - or 'eggplant' - condoms

Before emojis took over as the world's fastest growing language, the suggestion of a condom flavoured like an aubergine may have raised eyebrows.

But when the firm, purple vegetable once beloved by TV chefs became a by-word for the male appendage, it seemed only sensible that Durex may have enshrined it as a topping for condoms.

#2 Coffee

If you're using one of these, chances are you're already wide awake, but the launch from Indian 'dom manufacturer Manforce has proven popular.

It joins a roster including strawberry, jasmine, bubble gum, black grapes, chocolate, green apple - 'for those who love to sin' - orange, banana, butterscotch and pineapple.

#3 Cannabis

Described as "green in colour with a realistic cannabis flavour and smell," the Cannadom is a real thing .

They won't get you high and are apparently perfectly legal, but there are no customer reviews to reveal how realistic they may taste/smell.

#4 Garlic

Probably not perfect if the person you're trying to have relations with is a vampire, the curious description on The Stinking Rose site is: "It's a condom, use your imagination".

Most sexual meanderings don't involve garlic, but if yours does, this is a real winner.

Those who enjoy a tipple of Scotch will more than likely already know about the existence of these condoms flavoured to their favoured after dinner relaxer.

For the rest of us, this is a Scottish trip to somewhere very unusual that's surely all about the novelty.
