The Spice Girls Are Reportedly Set To Reunite In 2018

It was said they would never reunite again, after a commemorative tour in 2007 and a special performance at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.

But fans of the Spice Girls may be able to get excited again, as it seems the band is set to reunite in 2018.

Mel C brought about the reunion after she and Posh sunk a previous revival bid. But sources confirmed the plans are back on track after Mel C launched a campaign to get the girls back together.

The pop group originally formed in 1994, before splitting in 2000 following the recording of three studio albums. The group reunited for a live tour from 2007-08.

The five singers last appeared together at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, where they played the songs “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life."

Addressing the rumours, a representative for Victoria said: 'Victoria has said many times, she loved her time in the Spice Girls and continues to be full of affection for the girls and the happy memories they created together, however her future focus is her family and fashion brand.'

The pop legends, who are working with former boss Simon Fuller on the reunion, are said to have become closer in the wake of Mel B’s explosive divorce battle. And the birth of Geri’s son Monty is also said to have acted as a “uniting force.”

Although there is little information as to when next year these new reunion projects will happen, the band had previously hinted that something may be in the works long before a reunion was confirmed.

The Spice Girls have fooled us, time and time again, with several attempts at a comeback. Back in July 2016, three members of The Spice Girls sparked rumors of a reunion after posting a video which hinted at a possible tour. However, this time a reunion is actually happening, and fans simply can’t contain their excitement.
