#1 Corpse of Homeless Man Found on Whale in Orlando

On July 6, 1999, a 27-year-old drifter was found naked in the pool draped over the back of the killer whale named Tilikum (Sea World's infamous serial killer). He had visited SeaWorld the previous day, stayed after the park closed evading security, and entered the Orca tank. The coroner's report found scrapes, bruises and puncture wounds and that his testicles had been torn.

#2 Tilikum Strikes Again.

It should be no surprise to see this whale behind another "accident". On February 24, 2010, Dawn Brancheau, a 40-year-old trainer with 16 years of SeaWorld experience died in an accident involving Tilikum. SeaWorld's head of animal training said that during a rubdown after the show Tilikum pulled the trainer into the water by her ponytail and she drowned. However, some eye witnesses recalled the event differently and some whale experts have disputed SeaWorld's claim that the whale bit Brancheau's ponytail, noting the detail in the autopsy report that her left arm was torn off.

#3 Orcas Team Up On Rookie Trainer.

In 1987, two orcas grabbed trainer Jonathan Smith (who had less than one week of experience working with the animals), dragging him across the pool. Though he survived the attack, his kidneys were ruptured, his liver was lacerated, and he had cuts all over his body.

#4 John Sillick Is Beat Up by Orky

One of the many recorded incidents of orca danger at Seaworld, in 1987, trainer John Sillick fractured his vertebrae, femur, and pelvis while riding on the back of a killer whale named Orky.

#5 Baywatch Boat Show Injures 22 People

At SeaWorld Ohio (since sold and now called Geauga Lake) in 1996, a driver lost control of his boat during a Baywatch-themed water-ski stunt show. Allegedly suffering mechanical failure, the boat crashed into the fifth row of the stadium, sending 17 people to the hospital and injuring five others, who were treated at the park.

#6 Cranky Nepo Drags Trainer To The Bottom Of The Pool.

In the early 1970s, while working at Marine World, a trainer name Dave Worcester was dragged to the bottom of a tank by Nepo, a pre-adolescent whale. Former SeaWorld trainer, Jerry Watmore states that if captive killer whales "are provoked or frustrated, they can butt you or hit you with their tail and knock you down at the bottom of the pool. Or, they might grab an arm or a leg."

#9 Roa's Rapids Down Man

Ivan Henson, 68, of Manchester, was at SeaWorld's Aquatica park, Orlando, with his wife when lifeguards spotted him apparently lifeless in the water.

He had been riding Roa's Rapids, in which guests enter the water and are carried along a man-made channel described as a faster version of a traditional 'lazy river'.

They succeeded in reviving him temporarily, but he was later pronounced dead at the nearby Dr Phillips Hospital, in Orlando.

In 2009, a 59-year-old man from Manchester, England, died after cutting his toe on coral while swimming with fish. The victim, a hemophiliac, was diagnosed with septic shock and organ failure. Doctors amputated both legs below the knee to prevent infections. The coroner ruled the death "accidental," due to group B streptococcal septicemia.

#11 A shocking discovery.

Ricardo Corpus, a SeaWorld San Antonio employee was testing the amperage load of an HVAC unit and died after he apparently stuck his hand inside the unit to take a measurement.

Officer Matt Porter says around noon, the employee and another worker were on top of the SeaWorld employee cafe. According to detective reports, the other employee heard a noise and saw a puff of smoke from the area where the victim was working.
