1. Murdered on air

August 26, 2015, reporter Allison Parker's interview ended in an unprecedented manner when a gunman repeatedly shot her and her cameraman. The entire event was caught on camera, and the gunman was later identified as a former employee of the station.

2. 2006 FIFA World Cup head-butt

The FIFA 2006 World Cup final in Berlin shocked viewers when the French captain abruptly turned and launched a damaging head-butt into the chest of the Italian defender. The Italian went down, and the attacker was shown a red card.

You might have heard of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. But have you heard of what happened next? Lee Harvey Oswald was suspected of Kennedy's assassination and was being transported under police custody. That's when, under the full view of the public, nightclub owner, Jack Ruby, jumped from the crowd and shot Oswald dead before everyone's eyes.

5. The kiss at the Beijing Olympics

At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a rather unconventional moment was captured when two female gymnasts were caught kissing on camera. However, many just brushed off the act as a European custom.

6. Waco Texas

This event occurred in 1993 when ATF agents zeroed in on the Branch Davidian Complex in Waco Texas on a case of a weapons violation. The initial raid led to many being killed and wounded. The final raid was conducted on April 19, and was caught live on camera. The assault escalated to such levels that armored vehicles were called in, and wild fire broke out in the compound. By the end, 76 Branch Davidians were dead.
