When you take a bathroom break, that's supposed to be your time. You have business to take care of and it may be the only time you have in a busy day to collect yourself.
But in any case, it's a private time and you certainly don't want any interruptions while you're in there.
Well, I'm sorry to say that life doesn't always work that way. You can secure your house from most intruders, but what do you do when one is crawling up through your toilet at the worst possible moment?
Please SHARE this on Facebook and warn your friends about this danger.
#1 You may have heard stories about sewer alligators growing up.
The legend goes that people will flush their pet alligators down the toilet when they outgrow their cute baby stage. It was believed that enough people did this to fill the sewers with alligators who could crawl up through your toilet.
#2 But you can relax a little because it's not true.
Between the diseases in the sewage and the cold of most sewer systems, an alligator couldn't survive down there.
#3 Don't relax too much, though. Some things things can make it up your toilet.
If your area's known for its snakes, there's a chance one can crawl up and bite you while you're using the bathroom.
#4 But snakes aren't the only thing that can sneak up on you like this.
There's one more creature that you can find all over the world that can perform this feat.
#5 Most animals would have a hard time making it through your porcelain throne.
If you've never seen the inside of a toilet, you might not know how maze-like it can be. But this animal is small enough to work its way through.
#6 That's right, we're talking about rats.
Rats are the most common toilet intruder and they're as keen to jump up and bite you as any snake.
But how do they get up there?
Don't worry, this video has the best answer to that question.
