This is Peggy Harris and she's from Texas. Back in the 1940s, she married Billie and they were living in bliss...until she learned that Billie had to go fight in World War II.

As the story goes, Billie was deployed into war where he became a Lieutenant. He was stationed in north France in 1944 and that's all that Peggy knew about her husband until just recently.
#3 Alive Or Dead?
Since she never heard back from him via letters, Peggy assumed that her husband was killed in action, like so many other soldiers. At a later date, she was told that her husband was actually alive and on his way home to her! Then another report said that he was dead. Needless to say, she was going through a roller coaster of emotions.

After some hard research, Peggy reached out to a Congressman who helped her find out the fate of her husband: he was "missing in action."
#5 Stunning Findings
She, along with her cousin, launched an investigation and what she found out was simply STUNNING.

She learned that her husband was buried in the American Cemetery and Memorial in...NORMANDY!
#7 Happy Ending
That means that her long-lost husband died a hero! With this information, she now takes a yearly trip to France to honor her husband at the cemetery where he was buried. She can now live in comfort knowing that her husband died a hero, a veteran and a fighter.
