A judo fighter fought back against a suspected thief and pinned him down to the ground after he attempted to steal her phone.
The unnamed judoka was filmed detaining the potential thief on the ground in the Brazilian state of Amazonas on 25 March.
According to the locals, the suspect snatched the fighter's phone while she was waiting for her rideshare cab.
The suspect then ran off down the street with her phone.
However, the man had no idea what he got himself into and probably thought that he was successful in his attempt. In a few minutes, the judo fighter woman managed to catch up with him and pin him to the floor.
The judo specialist was then able to detain the suspect on the ground with a rear-naked choke, according to local media.
The fighter continued to hold the thief till the police arrived at the scene.
As the police arrive, the suspect is handcuffed and the woman shoves him away in disgust as the onlookers cheer on her bravery.
There have been no further updates on the investigation.
A similar incident occurred in 2018 when a man attempted to rob a jiu-jitsu fighter - but instead ended up crying on the floor.
The incident was captured in the Jorge Teixeira neighborhood of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, reports The Mirror.
Sabrina Leite, 22, shares that she was in front of her house when two men on a motorbike approached her.
One of the men, later identified as Magdeel da Silva, 18, demanded that she hand over her phone.
Sabrina said: "I could feel they didn't have any [weapons], they just arrived saying 'pass the phone'.
"I saw they didn't have anything and that's why I reacted. If they had been armed I would never have reacted."
