Babies are so small when they’re born, sometimes it feels like they can fit in the palm of your hand.
But when Matthew Riddle III was born, he really could fit in the palm of his parents’ hands. He only weighed one pound and two ounces when he was born.
#1 Matthew Riddle III isn't like the other kids.
#2 He was born with a rare congenital condition called osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type two.
#3 Even though he's 7 months old, he still looks like a newborn.
#4 He just weighed a little over a pound when he was born.
#5 Now he's up to 3 pounds, but he his condition carries other complications.
#6 He has to have operations to get his brain enough oxygenated blood.
#7 The problem is that Matthew lives in Louisville. His surgeries are in California!
#8 His family is currently raising money via a GoFundMe account.
#9 Matthew will never grow to be the size of other kids his age.
#10 But that shouldn't get in the way of a normal, happy life.
