This Couple Can’t Believe What They See Through The Window Of This Van. I’m Speechless
#1
This story begins in April 2015. Tess Dilouya and Morgan Lucas were headed toward their home in Paris. They were close to the Louis Blanc metro station in the 10th arrondissement when they noticed a van with an Amstaff dog trapped inside. The springtime sun was shining brightly and the poor dog looked overheated as he was lying down on the front seat.
As they got closer, they realized that the poor animal had little access fresh air and no food or water. The couple quickly realized that the dog was in very bad shape. He was unable to get up and didn't react to them approaching the car. His head and body were covered in cuts and gashes.

The couple moved on, but they were worried about him and decided to check back a few times during the evening to see anything had changed. But the poor animal was still there all alone. They managed to give him a bit of food, but couldn't fit any water through the window. Finally, they decided to go to the nearest police station and report the situation. Unfortunately, the officers were unwilling to act without approval from their superiors.

Then Tess and Morgan had an idea. They posted a picture of the dog on the Facebook Page "WANTED#bons plans" with a message asking the 60,000 members for advice on how to go forward. The amount of immediate response was unbelievable. Volunteers at "Giapa," an organization dedicated to helping abused animals were among those who saw the post. They immediately contacted the authorities and demanded that the dog be released. At the same time, dozens of people flooded the police station's phone lines after seeing the post. Finally, a team of policemen went to the van, forced the window open, and put a leash on the dog to test its reaction.

The poor, nearly lifeless animal remained calm and stepped out of the van. It was a ghastly sight. His body, nothing but skin and bones, was covered in gashes and wounds. His femur was broken and he was covered in bite marks ... This poor little guy had obviously been a victim of severe abuse and brutality. And judging by how fast and how long it took him to go to the 'toilet,' he must have been locked in for quite some time.

The rescuers named the dog "Wanted." After giving him some needed love and attention, he slept overnight at the police station before going to the Giapa shelter. In order to pay for all of Wanted's treatments, Tess and Morgan began a fundraiser online and received over $6,700 in donations. The vets ended up having to amputate one of Wanted's legs due to necrosis and infections. But his life was saved.

We can only hope that Wanted's previous owner is caught and held accountable. But, for little Wanted, that is in the past. The adorable dog, now completely recovered, needs a real family he can trust and who can give him all the love he deserves. If you would like to adopt him and have a license for this breed, do not hesitate to contact Giapa or Philippe Toutenelle. If not, share this story with everyone you know and maybe your friends can help find a special place for Wanted.
