It’s not day to day we see simple acts of heroism but seeing some good deeds is truly overwhelming, especially if one’s life is being saved. Just like what a bus driver from China did to save his passengers.
This Driver Was Hit By A Flying Metal On Road, What He Did Next Took His Life But Saved The Passengers
The heroic bus driver gave his life to save 24
In May 29, 2012, a 48-year-old bus driver named Wu Bin was driving his way back to Wuxi City from Hangzhou, China when suddenly a piece of metal fell from a truck heading in the opposite direction, smashing the windshield of bus he is driving and hitting him hard.
Wu Bin was badly hit in the arms and abdomen
But despite of being in agonizing pain, he still managed to put the brakes on, saving his passengers
Passengers at first did not realize anything was amiss, said Han Weichun, who was seated near the back of the bus
According to Chen Yibo, "He turned on the hazard warning lights after the bus stopped, pulled the handbrake and advised passengers not to run around as the bus was still on a highway." After that, he passed out.
Because of his heroic actions, none of his 24 passengers were hurt
The badly injured driver was rushed to a local hospital suffering three broken ribs, a damaged liver and lungs. Surgery Doctor ‘Fang Zheng' was amazed by Bin's actions, he said "His whole liver was seriously damaged. In such a circumstance, it should be very painful. I'm touched that he could do that."
But Bin wasn’t so lucky, he died of his injuries four days later
However, his 24 passengers feel grateful to him for saving their lives and he was declared as a hero and a role model in his hometown Hangzhou in eastern China.
