Awkward holiday family portraits are a cultural tradition. Someone slightly looking off-camera. Mom looking miserable because the kids won't shut up. Santa Claus getting kicked in the nuts by a rambunctious child. But some family photos cross the bridge of awkward and enter into the territory of absolute weird.

Like this family portrait that is super sexist and really creepy.

After it was posted to a photographer's Facebook page people were up in arms.

Louisiana-based studio, Hannah Hawkes photography, put this picture up online.

The photo was posted on a Sunday, and by Tuesday, Hannah Hawkes' Facebook page was deleted because people were pissed.

Since the original FB post was deleted, tons of shares condemning the photo were lost, but that hasn't stopped people from talking about it.

Some people did think that the hate was blown out of proportion though.

Turns out that folks weren't too happy that women were bound and gagged with duct tape as Dad held a sign that said "Peace on earth." Who'da thunk?

Tired of the hate, Hannah Hawkes posted her own reply on Facebook, indicating it was never her intention to offend anyone.

It still hasn't stopped people from letting her know how grossed out they were by the photo. What did you think of it?
