This Family's Heartbreaking Story Of Child Loss Due To Cancer Has A Ray Of Hope.

There's nothing more difficult than losing a child.

It leaves a deep hole in the hearts of their bereaved parents.

Danny Nickerson was a young boy from the Boston area who had an inoperable brain tumor.

His condition made headlines when he asked for cards in July, 2014.

The local post office was absolutely flooded with cards from around the world.

It actually took four trucks and a U-Haul to get these cards to young Danny.

Sadly, Danny lost his battle with cancer.

His parents were understandably devastated.

Recently, however, the family got some good news.

They welcomed a little girl into the world.

Little Elena Daniel was born on July 29.

This was a special miracle, but there was something just a little extra special about it.

This little girl was born on a Friday, the same day of the week Danny died. The day had always been difficult for the mother, but now it carries new, happy memories.

This is such a wonderful story.

It's never easy to lose a child, but hopefully this little girl helps heal that wound.
