#1 There is nothing unusual about seeing a hazard on a golf course, but one playing group were given a particular fright by an enormous alligator during their round.
A video of a frighteningly gargantuan alligator at a golf course has recently gone viral. In the video captured by golfer Charles Helms, the alligator can be seen casually making its way across the greens of the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida. You can hear Charles saying "That is the biggest freaking alligator I've ever seen in my life that is a monster."
#2 The alligator is 100% real.
Not surprisingly, many viewers have accused the video of being fake, either with computer generated graphics or simply a couple of guys in an alligator suit. But news sources and the golfers have confirmed that the alligator is 100% real.

Buffalo Creek Golf Course employee Wendy Schofield also adds "People have heard that he is out here and that is all they want to see so they will bring spectators to ride so somebody can get a picture. He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course."
"I was stunned and silent," Helms told. "It was just laying down, resting, when it got up and started moving towards the big lake."
The oversized creature has reportedly made a number of appearances at the course over the years, seemingly unfazed by those around him, with the alligator estimated to be as big as 15ft long.
