Most people are pretty happy to share their homes with dogs and cats. Redditor introvertedbiologist, however, isn't like most people. When the time came for her to get a pet, she decided to go a different route.
No, she didn't get a giant spider or a hoard of ferrets -- she bought a couple of pet leeches. Not what you were expecting, right?

After his monthly feeding, Vlad is too fat to move, so he just hangs out on the rock in his bowl for a while.
Introvertedbiologist describes the feeling of Vlad feeling on her as a sharp burning sensation. Still, that doesn't put her off. She says that she enjoys the process and the level of intimacy it brings. So there's that.
George's bowl is a little cooler than Vlad's because he likes to burrow under the rocks. Introvertedbiologist has to keep them separated because they are different species. George would likely attack Vlad and try to feed on him if they shared a bowl.
