#1 It feels like zoos are becoming scary places to bring children to. After the gorilla incident in Cincinnati,

this scary scene from a zoo in Japan would have been devastating if not for a very secure barrier.

#2 A 2-year-old boy and his family recently got quite a scare at Japanese zoo.

#3 After a staring contest with the toddler, a lion rushed toward the boy thinking it could jump on him.

Fortunately, the big cat hit a glass wall that separates the animal from human visitors.

#4 The entire incident was caught on camera.

#5 Zookeepers say the lion weighs more than 400 pounds and has a habit of frolicking when he sees small children because he wants to play with them.

#6 The zoo set up the glass display in April to enable visitors to get a closer look at lions.

#7 The video of the incident shows the lion creeping down a rock while the child stands at the glass window..

#9 As soon as the boy turns his back, the lion rushes the glass and starts pawing at the boy.

It happened less than week after a boy in Cincinnati fell into a gorilla enclosure resulting in the gorilla being shot by zookeepers.
