#1. Rajesh Entered The MRI Room With An Oxygen Cylinder

Rajesh Maru had visited the Mumbai’s BYL Nair Municipal Hospital to get an MRI scan of his sister's mother in law. The 32-year-old was carrying an oxygen cylinder when he entered the MRI room. All at once, the metal in the cylinder got attracted by the large magnetic field of the machine and Rajesh got trapped.

#2. Huge Magnetic Power Sucked Rajesh In

The oxygen cylinder that was supplying oxygen to Rajesh's relative turned the MRI machine on. "Magnetic force of the machine sucked him in. We are not sure how he went so close. An inquiry is on," Dr. Ramesh who works at the same hospital said. Some hospital workers believe that Rajesh was told by a staffer to carry the tank into the room and that the man was told that the machine was turned off. When Rajesh entered the room, it turned out that the machine was on and the huge magnetic power sucked him in.

#3. Rajesh's Hand Got Stuck Into The Deadly Machine And He Could Not Speak

The Mumbai based hospital is currently inquiring the case that took a life of an innocent man. Eyewitnesses of the tragic incident say that Rajesh's hand got stuck into the deadly machine leading to oxygen leakage from the cylinder. "He was sucked in and his hand got stuck there. His body swelled up and he couldn't speak," Maru’s brother-in-law told.

#4. Hospital Workers Should Be Held Responsible For Carelessness

The injured man was immediately taken to the emergency room but Rajesh's swollen body was bleeding heavily and he could not survive the injuries for more than 10 minutes. Rajesh's family believe that hospital workers should be held responsible for the tragic accident and Rajesh's loss. “It’s because of their carelessness that Rajesh died,” Maru's relative said.

#5. It's Fine, We Do It Everyday

Maru's brother in law further told that when Rajesh shared his concerns regarding metal cylinder, the hospital staffers exhibited extremely careless attitude. "When we told him that metallic things aren't allowed inside an MRI room, he said 'sab chalta hai, hamara roz ka kaam hai' (it's fine, we do it every day)."

#6. Two People Have Been Arrested By The Mumbai Police

The postmortem has shown that the young man died due to lung collapse. After the case inquiry, police have arrested a doctor and the staffer who told Rajesh to go into the MRI room with a metal cylinder in his hands.

The upsetting incident has caused every hospital worker to become more careful so as to avoid loss of more innocent lives in the future.
