Taiwanese model Heidi Yeh had everything going back in 2012, when she was a very successful model. That was before a cosmetic clinic hired her as an advertising model. She didn't expect that one job will literally destroy her life as a model, and as a woman.

The ad features Heidi together with a man and three children to pose as a family. According to Heidi, they were all ‘retouched' to look the way they were in the ad. The ad's tagline reads: "The only thing you'll ever have to worry about is how to explain it to the kids." In the picture, Heidi and the man visibly looked different from the children.

Heidi said that the contract stipulated that their picture will only be published in newspapers and magazines, exclusively by the clinic. But to her horror, the picture surfaced online, posted by a different surgery clinic called ‘Simple Beauty'.

The picture was later shared as a meme by millions of netizens, with a caption that says: ‘You can't hide it forever'. Dozens of articles surfaced later, claiming that the woman was divorced by her husband for producing ‘ugly kids', and that her beauty was a mere product of plastic surgery. Sadly, many people believed the story to be true.

Her career started to plunge, and her private life began to shatter as well. She suffered from a defamation she didn't deserve, and now she wants the people responsible for this mess to pay for the price.

Heidi Yeh is now suing ‘Simple Beauty' for a hefty $155,000a sum not enough to cover the humiliation she had suffered, brought about by a simple meme.
