Every parent has an epic barf story, and we trade them like old generals recounting the horrors of war, but despite the terrible things we’ve all seen, it’s likely none of us has a story as hilariously awful as this one. Recently, a dad posted some screenshots of texts he sent to his wife after their toddler threw up in the the car, and his story is so outlandish, it’s got thousands of parents laughing and dry heaving in sympathy.
This Mom Left Baby With Dad For One Evening And It Was A Complete Disaster
#1 It's a well known fact that kids can produce up to twice their own body weight in vomit.
Ben Patterson recently discovered this when he had to look after his kids on Friday so that his wife could go out with friends.
#2 Kids don't hesitate to throw up anywhere,
and Ben Patterson experienced that first hand when his son, Declan, vomited in the car while the pair was driving together.
Patterson texted his wife a string of messages documenting the ordeal, but she never answered, making for a whole lot of texts and a pretty hilarious story.
#3 Patterson then posted screenshots of the texts on Facebook,
with the messages revealing that after his son threw up, Patterson threw up as well because he's a sympathetic vomiter.
#4 Last night I was supposed to watch the kids, so my wife and I swapped cars after work so she could head out with some friends.
On the way home, projectile vomit occurred, and then the police got involved. And the whole time my wife wasn't answering her phone.... See the ensuing text message thread for the full story and unfortunate hilarity," Patterson wrote alongside the photos.
#5 The smell of his son's vomit was so bad, Patterson revealed, that he had to get out of the car to vomit on a woman's lawn.
The woman came outside, and then the police arrived, "because they have nothing better to do in Burlingame," Patterson wrote in a text.
#6 He then told his wife that he had to take a breathalyzer test, which he passed, with his son continuing to throw up the entire time.
"Trying to drive home with the windows down and breathing through my shirt," the last message read.
