#1 This Reddit User Called 'n3glv' Claims He Has Used Melanotan-II To Darken His Skin Color

The drug he's using is considered dangerous and it is illegal. It has not been studied past clinical trials and is considered dangerous to use at this time.

#2 He Has Taken Several Doses Of The Drug Already

He says that the more he takes the drugs the darker his skin color gets. He's noted that the treatment is a lot like tanning, that if he stops taking it for a while, his skin color begins to fade back to the lighter shade. He "doses" regularly to stay darker.

#3 He Has A Lot Of Skeptics About His Story

Some people just aren't buying the story. They note that in his first photo and the darker photos, he has a different eye color. They went from brown to clear blue.

Taking the critics to task, he says that people "need to understand that my private server was compromised and that was a SHOPPED photo a lady did for me. Note in every other pic I have blue eyes." N3glv claims the drug Melanotan-II, a drug that increases levels of the pigment melanin in the skin, is the blame for his tanned look. However, the skeptics are pointing out that beyond the eye color dispute, his lips and features have taken on a different shape, and are doubtful that a skin toner would change the appearance of one's features.

#5 He Says He Wants To Be Black And UV Light Will Not Harm His Skin

He says, 'I'm pretty much impervious to UV at this point. I have faded about 25% since returning from Florida." He goes on to say that "I'm going to be a black man when I am finished. That's why I am doing this" He continues to state that the drug should be studied for treatment of skin cancer that is caused by the sun and UV rays. "It works. It keeps the suns harmful rays away."

#6 Melanotan Comes With Many Side Effects

Some of the effects include: depression, nausea, high blood pressure and panic attacks. He has written about some of the other side effects, he says they include "decreased appetite (very mild nausea more for some, none for me). Increased Libido (Didn't see that one much either.) Some get a facial flushing like a Niacin dose. (never got that either) And the most strange thing is that it feels really good to stretch, like when you first wake up. (I get that every time I dose, about 1hr after injection)."

The reddit user may be changing his skin color with a drug, but this woman, 'Tanning Mom' Patricia Krentcil made headlines in 2012 following accusations that she took her daughter into a tanning booth with her. She later confessed on the Dr Phil Show that she was addicted to tanning and tanning beds.

Krentcil's fair, red-headed duaghter, six, had told a school nurse that she got sunburned when she went 'tanning with Mommy'. Krentcil insisted that Anna got her sunburn from playing in the pool and that she has not broken the law. Child protective agencies were called in but she denied the allegations. She was caught lying about this and other related issues on another television show, 'The Test' and her husband filed for divorce.
