A smart pill has been invented which can tell you everything you need to know about your digestive system.
The edible pill is actually an electronic tracker that will reveal a lot about the Gastro-Intestinal Tract and the gases formed in stomach and intestines due to the digestive mechanism.

The amazing invention is the work of Australian scientists at RMIT University, Monash University, and CSIRO Agriculture and Food who have found a brilliant way to measure gases like hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane (which are produced as a result of break down of food by bacteria and enzymes).

Once the measurement of gasses is done, the cool pill will send all the data to your smartphone showing you the time of formation and release of gases. “Our capsule will offer a non-invasive method to measure microbiome activity,” Kalantar Zadeh, an inventor at the RMIT university told.
It can help fight diseases.
Not only will the edible pill detect and measure the gases formation but will also bring a hope for people suffering from GIT disorders in daily life. "This new information could help us better understand how debilitating diseases like colon cancer occur" the professor added.

The Australian scientists believe that the capsule might help the doctors to get rid of frightful procedures like colonoscopy in future.
