Though we have come a long way in the past several decades when it comes to the rights of LGB individuals, there is still a lot of work to be done.
The liberation of queerness is directly tied to the liberation of all individuals. Or, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
This past Valentines Day, Ellie Parker took her girlfriend out for a special date. But their romantic night quickly turned sour, when their waiter started making crude remarks. She took to Facebook to vent her frustrations.
