This woman is not the only victim of this unjust law. Similar incidents have happened on various beaches in the country. The women are asked to leave the beach. They are also heavily fined. In addition, these women get ridiculed by the officials for simply following their religious custom.

A French journalist Mathilde Cusin witnessed the incident. He described it as, "I saw three police officers watching the beach. One of them had his finger on the trigger of his tear gas device, no doubt containing pepper. It was pretty violent. I had the impression of a pack going after a woman sitting on the ground, crying with her daughter. The saddest thing was that people were shouting ‘go home', some were applauding the police. Her daughter was crying."

The crowd was against the woman as well. It indicates to the bigger problem of increasing Islamophobia in the world. The location of this ridiculous demand by the police officer to the Muslim woman was Promenade des Anglais. The area was recently the location of a lorry attack by an unstable Muslim man who killed more than 84 people on Bastille Day in Nice, France.

In case you did not know, many parts of France have just banned Burkinis. It seems like the champions of freedom of expression have finally decided to show their true and rigid face. France just believes in its own version of freedom and democracy and has no respect for a different lifestyle or point of view.

Human Rights League (LDH) is appealing to reverse the decision on the ban on Buskinis in Nice. The LDH said, "the ban is a serious and illegal attack on numerous fundamental rights, including freedom of religion."
