It's something never seen before in the history of The Price Is Right. The show first began on CBS in 1972 and has been one of the most popular game shows in history, but never have all three showcase 'big wheel' spinners all landed on one dollar, giving them the chance to play in the final showdown.
Three People Spun $1 On The Price Is Right And Everyone Went Bonkers
#1 Unbelievable!
A rather amazing feat occurred Monday at The Price is Right as three contestants spun a dollar during the same Showcase Showdown.
#2 Drew Was Shocked
During Monday's broadcast, Cathryn, Manfred, and Jessica competing for a spot in the final Showcase each managed to reach the dollar on their second spin at the wheel. While this happened at least three times before, it is the first time contestants have done this since Drew Carey took over as host in 2007 - which may explain why appeared to be completely amazed at what was going down.
#3 Cathryn Spun The Dollar And Danced To The Spotlight Circle.
Up first was Cathryn, who had the best reaction to spinning $1, showing off her impeccable dance moves. It was a shock to her that SHE would be going to the final showdown.
#4 Move Over Cathryn..Manfred Has Another Spin
Not so fast Cathryn, Manfred still has a spin to go. Surprisingly, he managed to land smack dab in the middle of the dollar space as well!
#5 Now That's Just Crazy!
But that's not the best part. What's crazier is that Jessica still had to spin her final turn of the wheel. Amazingly, she too landed on the dollar space!
#6 It Made For An Interesting Game Show Moment
The three hugged and jumped in the typical TPIR fashion. But host Drew Carey was dumbfounded. "I don't know if that's ever happened," host Drew Carey said as the trio lined up for their bonus spins.
#7 The Audience Went Crazy As Well.
Just as excited as the contestants on the show were the people watching at home, who took to Twitter to express their shock over the impressive display by the three contestants. The studio audience went totally crazy and lost it, it was remarkable.
#8 And The Final Winner Was...
They all received $1,000 and a bonus spin to determine who would advance to the final showcase. That honor went to Manfred. He scored the highest number in the next round of spins, and went on to win a car and a cruise.
