A TikTok grandad lovingly known as GrandadJoe went viral for being stood up after going on his first date in 30 years. GrandadJoe, also known as @grandadjoe1933, is 89 years old and had previously been married and posts often about his love for his late wife.

This was grandad Joe's first time going out on a date since his wife passed away. The man wrote, “Come with me on my first dinner date in 30 years!” He was shown in the video excitedly getting ready for his date: fixing his hair in front of a floor-length mirror, “waiting patiently” for her to arrive at the restaurant…and being stood up with not even a text to tell him that she wouldn’t be coming.
