Simon Leviev, the infamous conman who has been on the run from authorities for a series of crimes, including forgery and theft has finally been banned from the dating app Tinder. Reportedly, Simon duped several women on the dating platform and taking on fake identities, the man scammed these women of hundreds and thousands of pounds.
Netflix's latest documentary The Tindler Swindler has been banned from the dating app.
The film was released on 2 February and tells the dramatic and shocking story of conman Simon Leviev - whose real name is Shimon Hayut.
The film revolves around two women who were cheated by the fake playboy, who ended up scamming them and taking millions of pounds from them.
Simon spent years traveling around the world and on the run from the authorities as he was wanted for a series of crimes, including forgery and theft.
However, it is decided that the man won't be scamming women on Tinder anymore as the company confirmed to Variety that he has been banned from the app.
In a statement, the company said: "We have conducted internal investigations and can confirm Simon Leviev is no longer active on Tinder under any of his known aliases."
The conman has already spent two years prison term in a Finnish prison for scamming multiple women and after his 2017 release, he went back to Israel, before fleeing the country for Europe so he couldn't be arrested.
He eventually got caught again in Greece in 2018 on charges of using a fake passport.
He was extradited to Israel and sentenced to 15 months in prison for theft, fraud, and forgery of documents - all charges from 2011, unrelated to the accusations made against him in the Netflix documentary.
The conman later got released in five months on account of 'good behavior.'
The documentary shows the tale of a Norwegian student, Cecilie living in London, who found herself involved in a passionate romance with Simon- a supposed billionaire and self-proclaimed 'Prince of Diamonds'.
As their relationship got serious, things took a dramatic turn with Simon begging Cecilie for money to avoid being tracked down by people apparently out to kill him.
Cecilie eventually discovered that Simon wasn't what he claimed to be and so she joined hands with other victims for the sake of justice.
The official synopsis reads: "Swipe, swipe, swipe... It’s not easy to find love online, so when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can’t quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams.
"But dreams aren't reality and by the time she discovers this international businessman isn’t who he says he is, it’s too late. He’s taken her for everything.
"Where this fairytale ends, a revenge thriller begins. Cecilie discovers his other targets and once they band together, they're victims no more: THE TINDER SWINDLER meets his match."
