#1 Marshal Darrick Cullison Was Ousted From His 10 Year Position In A Town Hall Meeting That Lead To A Fist Fight

The community of Hymera, Indiana met to replace the town marshal just three weeks before the end of his term. Apparently the motion passed and the majority voted to replace Darrick Cullison. But for some people, democracy wasn't satisfying enough.

A disgruntled group, displeased by the result, accosted the newly appointed marshal. The situation deteriorated and the town hall meeting turned into a full-blown fist fight, with the new marshal fending off the former marshal, Cullison, and another man while a handful of people tried to break it up.

Police were called, but no injuries were reported.

#2 Replaced Marshal Lost His Regular Job After The Sheriff's Department Found Out About The Brawl He Was The Center Of

Cullison filed a wrongful termination suit against the Town of Hymera, stating the town failed to follow proper procedure when terminating him. Already out of one job, Cullison's troubles only got worse. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, where Cullison worked as a jailer, terminated his employment as soon as it received word of Tuesday nights debacle.

Cullison, who was the town marshal for 10 years, is looking for his job back, back pay, benefits and his attorney fees paid for. It's hard to imagine him getting any of that after Tuesday night's fiasco on tape, as two reporters were there reporting the meeting for air.
