UN Releases Video Of North Korean Soldier Escaping To Freedom Across Border As Bullets Fly

Hochong Song, a public affairs officer for US Forces Korea said," UN Command has disclosed security footage of a defection across the heavily fortified demilitarized zone (DMZ) that divides North and South Korea."

The UN Command said, North Korean soldiers violated the Korean War armistice By firing across the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which oversees the 64-year-old ceasefire agreement.

A UN Command statement said officials notified the North’s military of these violations and requested a meeting to discuss the investigation results and measures to prevent future such violations.
