#1 Gary 'Stretch' Turner

Gary Turner can stretch the skin on his abdomen an amazing 6.25 inches, good enough to earn him the Guinness World Record for the stretchiest skin. His skin is so stretchy and thin that he is able to pull the skin from his neck completely over his lower jaw up to his nose.

#2 Rare Medical Condition

Turner is able to stretch his skin to such an extent because of a rare medical condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a disorder of the connective tissues that affects the skin, ligaments, and internal organs. In people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, the collagen that strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, resulting in a loosening of the skin and hypermobility of the joints.

#3 He Uses His Disease To Earn An Income

In most cases the disorder affects around one in 10,000 people. Mr. Turner's strain is very rare. The 45-year-old is from Great Britain and has used his syndrome to entertain people and make a living. He is a former star of Circus of Horrors, the group which auditioned for Britain's Got Talent last year. He is now a performer for the Royal Family of Strange People, a unique collective of fascinating individuals currently performing in London.

#4 It Started When He Was A Child

He says that his stretchy skin does not hurt him but his joints are sometimes unbearably painful. "I have always known that my skin was different - as a small child my uncles used to have fun showing their friends," he said. He added that he first began to notice that his skin could stretch when he was about four years old. He was not diagnosed with the disease until he was an adult. He said that in recent years he has been having issues with aches associated with his other tissue and blood vessels.

Gary Tuner explained to ABC news his condition by saying that If you 'look at your own skin cells under a microscope, they'd be nice and round and lock in many places. But my skin cells tend to be more jagged, and don't fit together quite so well."
