#1 Calves Mutilated In Missouri, 2014

In the middle 1970s, animal mutilations were being discovered on a regular basis throughout America and Western Europe. They were written off as bizarre behavior by fringe religious cults, although many people had theories of their own on the animals found that were "medically" sliced or mutilated. Though the findings never really ceased, they have become more prevalent in the last ten years, leaving experts perplexed as to how these mutilations are happening.

In July of 2014 a rancher in Missouri was counting his cattle and noticed one missing. He then noticed a nearby buzzard flying overhead, which alerted him to his missing cow. When he arrived at the scene, the cow was grossly mutilated. Examination of the calf revealed some horrific injuries. Its internal organs had been cleanly removed, and its entire body had been completely drained of blood. All that remained were its hide and bones.

Missouri has a "UFO Alert Rating" which measures from 1 to 5, and at the time of this incident they were on level 3, meaning they had over 25 alerts of unidentified objects in the sky. Missouri had the fourth-highest amount of sightings in the United States during this period. And to make things even stranger, another rancher lost 15 head of cattle the same Summer.

#2 Cow Seemingly Dropped From The Sky In Nebraska, 2013

Alex Peterson, a Nebraska rancher, told Linda Moulton Howe, one of the leading researchers and experts in cattle and animal mutilations, how he found several dead cattle with precise surgical cuts, missing organs, and no visible blood. He first believed his cows had been poisoned and had them tested, but they all came back with healthy results. A short time later he found another cow still alive, but missing several organs. Linda Moulton Howe tested this animal and determined that something unnatural had happened. The cuts were precise and medical in nature.

Her final report to the state on the incident included the findings of a cow that was found with its head embedded into the ground as if it had been dropped from the sky. The animal was already dead when they found it, and when they pulled its head out of the hole, it was noted there was a distinct lack of dirt in the cow's nose or mouth, leading them to believe that the animal had not simply burrowed its head into the ground but had been dead before it hit the Earth.

#3 Over A Decade Of Mutilations In Wales, 2001–Present

The Animal Pathology Field Unit (APFU) had been investigating animal mutilations in Wales for over a decade when they finally reported that they "strongly believed" that the mutilations could be from alien attacks. Aside from unusual lights in the sky that are reported at least nightly in the country, the precise nature of the injuries as well as what appears to be a lack of blood where the animals were found is perplexing. In the last few years alone, discoveries have been made the following day or days later, after strange lights were seen, that include headless lambs, sheep with holes sliced into their skulls, missing bones, and tongues.

#4 Regular Mutilations In Colorado Since 1999

Tom Miller began noticing strange deaths and mutilations of his cattle way back in 1999 on his Colorado farm, which has been family operated for three generations. He claims the dead animals are found on a regular basis. He states that he has found cattle with eyes missing, limbs cut off, tongues cut out, and even some with their ears removedalways with laser-like precision. In most cases, the animal's body was also completely drained of blood. Skeptics argue that Mr. Miller is simply embellishing what is a natural course of predators seeking prey in the dark of night. However, he says that a predator animal would not drink 11 pounds of blood and leave the carcasses intact.

Investigator Chris O'Brien believes that the mutilations are more likely the result of a secret government testing program rather than anything related to UFOs or aliens. He thinks the cows are being tested for mad cow disease at random by the federal government.

#5 Weekend Mutilations In Argentina, 2014

In September 2014, Argentinian radio station Radio Amanecer announced several cases of cattle mutilations that allegedly occurred in May of that year. Reports state that some kind of strange, abnormal activity had taken place in the days leading up to the actual attack, as it was trembling and in distress, rattled and confused. Following that weekend the cow was found dead, with very precise cuts made to its face and jaw. Oddly enough, two others reports surfaced the same day of other animals cut open and drained of their blood. These incidents happened over twelve miles away from the first one.

According to the report, there have also been several other stories of such attacks in the area dating back to the beginning of 2014, all occurring on weekends and being discovered on Monday. Locals call it "Red Saturday" and try to avoid letting any animals out after dark.

#6 Summer Of Animal Mutilations In Vancouver, 1990

When Richard Fazio discovered five dead cattle on his range he called scientists at Oregon State University who investigated the situation. They determined at the time that the mutilated cattle were likely "heat-induced" and that they were "consistent with electrosurgical excision." In other words, they were not simple animal attacks and unlikely to be the work of a typical prankster.

The incidents occurred between June and October 1990 and bore all the hallmarks of state-of-the-art technology being used. Internal organs, eyes, and tongues were removed from the animals. Neighbors reported to police several times through that summer that they were hearing strange piercing noises at night that was not like any farm machinery.

Although the Vancouver incidents appeared to have been isolated to the summer of 1990, nearly a decade later in February 1999, a UFO report was made by forest workers near Mount St. Helens. They claimed that they saw a flying metallic object lift an elk into the air with what appeared to be an invisible beam. Witnesses even stated that as they saw the elk being pulled upward, it appeared to be turning slowly in the air as if being rotated purposely. One woman in 2015 reported seeing a "tiny man" running through a field carrying a strange type of flashlight. The next morning a cow was found without its eyeballs and tongue.

#7 Horse Attacks In UK, 2011-Present

In 2011 and early 2012, there were several cases of horses being found mutilated and killed in Britain. While experts proclaim this is not like the UFO related cattle mutilations, they dead horses with no blood or tongues are very similar. Instead, reports surfaced in UK papers that the mutilations were a result of Satanic rituals. Others, however, believed that the injuries were in fact part of secret experiments being conducted in the equestrian world due to the recent outbreak of equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1).

The virus seemed to originate from a horse show in Utah in April 2011. It quickly spread across the US, into Canada, and then eventually into much of Europe. There have been no cases of mutilated horses in the US or Canada, only in Britain.

#8 Sheep Mutilations In England, 2010

In early 2010, not only were several farmers near Shrewsbury, England, finding their sheep dead and mutilated, but some of them claimed to have witnessed them being "lasered" by strange objects hovering above them. The unfortunate sheep appeared to have suffered from a variety of strange, surgical injuries, including some of them having their brains removed, seemingly through a "neat hole" made in their heads. Others were found to have had flesh stripped from their face in a precise and careful manner. Further investigations also found that many of the sheep had internal organs carefully and expertly removed. Strange orange lights and spheres were spotted in the sky during the same time period that the mutilations took place.

In March 2010, while they were conducting their investigations, researchers claim to have witnessed the abduction and mutilation of three different animals in one 2 hour span. After the frightening spectacle, the researchers asked nearby farmers if they could account for all of their property and not one reported a missing animal. They speculate the animals were carried to the field from another location.

#9 Mutilations Happen At Regular Intervals In Arizona

For many years, Kit Metzger of the Flying M Ranch has discovered many of her cattle dead and mutilated on her land. She claims that some of the animals were found disfigured and unrecognizable with injuries that range from eyes and internal organs being removed to precise and clean cuts to remove parts of the face and even sexual organs. She also claims that there has never been any blood near the mutilated animals when they were found.

She says other ranchers near her have also experienced similar attacks on their livestock. The main theories on what is behind them range from UFOs and aliens to Satanists participating in satanic rituals, although they have no solid proof of either and are ultimately completely perplexed by the mutilations. They all believe that whoever is responsible for the incidents has some powerful and precise medical equipment and probably some type of pump to drain the blood.

Many Arizona ranchers claim the attacks take place regularly and have since the 1970s. They say they normally occur from July to October, and have had to hire extra ranchers to watch their animals during those months.

#10 Sheep Mutilations In Texas, 2013

In 2013 several mutilations of sheep were reported to both local police department and MUFON throughout the state of Texas. Although opinion is divided on what was responsible for the attacks, a local sheriff stated at the time that, "This was too clean to be an animal. Whoever did this knew what they were doing." Skeptics believe that "hooligans" were killing the animals as a prank, but MUFON hasn't ruled out alien attacks.

Wayne and Karen Daggs, whose farm is in Port Lavaca, had over 20 of their sheep killed and mutilated between July and October 2013, each of them having suffered precise cuts to their face and mouth and some having been castrated. As has been the case with other mutilation cases, there was no sign of blood where the bodies were discovered. They also say that one sheep was lifted from their property and simply vanished. They could find no tire tracks or footprints to where the sheep was grazing.

Ironically, this area of Texas is the location for one of the very first animal mutilations ever recorded in the US. In the early 1900s, a horse was discovered with what appeared to be precise, medically administered cuts having been made to remove its nervous system. Its upper neck and head were also stripped or burned down to nothing but bone.
