#1 Women love Yoga Pants! They are flexible, tight, and their stretching ability make them great for exercise as well as working out at the gym.

#2 Somewhere along the way, these gym essentials became so comfortable for the ladies that they began wearing them EVERYWHERE.

#3 Because they are so comfortable, they were amazing gym wear because of the ability to move without constriction of the older "gym sweats" everyone was wearing.

#4 But because the women loved the so much, and because the men loved them more... Company's like Victoria's Secret, and others, soon began marketing the tight fitting pants for the fashion instead of their intended purpose.

#5 It is not uncommon these days to catch female celebrities jogging and exercising with yoga pants, some even wear them as their casual outfits, or are photographed by the paparazzi shopping in them.

#6 As soon as they caught on as being so fashionable, it didn't take long for manufacturers to come out with different colors, styles, and designs for the 'tight' pants.

#7 So why wouldn't we recommend women to wear them daily? As it turns out, there are some negative effects that yoga pants may do to your skin.

#8 Yoga pants trap in the body's moisture and heat up the legs and crotch, and cause a bacteria or fungus causing Folliculitis, the infection of hair follicles.

#9 The condition can spread to other parts of your body, causing irritation and zit covered skin. The bacteria grows from the trapped moisture and cause long term skin irritations that are easily spread when scratched.

#10 Women who wear 'skinny jeans' are also prone to the same bacteria growth, as the tightness causes a body heat when you begin to sweat, that can also cause folliculitis.

#11 If you do wear yoga pants, make sure you change pants after working out or doing any activity that causes your body to sweat. If you are wearing them as street pants, be sure to take them off as soon as your legs start to heat up.
