Watch The Moment Piers Morgan Enjoys Big Mac In Infront Of Hypocrite Vegan
Piers Morgan has decided to deal with vegans rather bluntly. the man recently devoured a McDonald's Big Mac in front of one of the vegans.
The bizarre moment occurred during an interview on the 57-year-old's TalkTV show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.
Morgan had sat down with Animal Rebellion activist and vegan Orla Coghlan to discuss the impact switching to a plant-based diet can have on the planet.
However, Morgan then spoke about the "hypocrisy" of vegans, stating that bees are being "slaughtered" in the production of avocados and almonds (conversations that have been previously highlighted by publications such as OneGreenPlanet.org and Vegan Life Magazine.)
After questioning Coghlan over whether or not a bee "is an animal", Morgan exclaimed: "If a bee's a animal, why are you slaughtering them?"
To which Coghlan replied: "Why are you not talking about the most important issue that is facing our planet today?"
"Because it's rank hypocrisy," Morgan responded, claiming that the production of almonds and avocados is killing "billions of bees".
"Both avocados and almonds are less damaging to the planet," Coghlan said, attempting to reference an Oxford study on the issue.
But it seems like Morgan wasn't in the mood to listen to any debate at this point, as he said: "Anyway, look, I'm starving and you're not going to persuade me."
At that moment, a Deliveroo driver walked onto the set and handed the presenter a McDonald's takeaway.
"My response to you destroying all these things is to have a Big Mac," he said. "Because, you know what? It's a free country, it's a democracy, and I'm allowed to eat meat, and I'm certainly allowed to eat meat when someone who kills bees to feed their avocado habit minds."
Following all the drama and debate, the show finally came to an end with Morgan tucking into his Big Mac and Coghlan attempting to voice her thought on what the government should be doing.
As the clip from the show went viral on social media, it left the internet divided with opinions, with one person writing: "That was disgusting. An awful, cruel bully who wanted his airtime to have a pathetic toddler tantrum."
A second added: "Disgraceful bullying towards that lady. You weren't interested in hearing her side. You invited her on the show so you should exhibit courtesy towards her. We know you don't agree, but let her put her side."
One Twitter user described the interview as "immature", with another branding Morgan's behavior as "ridiculous".
However, Morgan's actions also had plenty of support, with one fan writing: "That Big Mac looks even yummier when there’s a bloody vegan warrior sitting next to you."
And another added: "Well done @piersmorgan for defending the right to eat meat. I am sick of hearing the waffle that comes out of these vegans' mouths. Most farmers look after their animals and some even treat them like extended family. Everyone has the right to eat what they want, when they want."
